Today’s Detroit News includes an article by restaurant reporter Melody Baetens celebrating The Whitney’s summer garden party plans.
“Tucked at the corner of Woodward and Canfield, The Whitney restaurant’s lush garden setting becomes a destination for special events each spring and summer,” Baetens wrote.
The article mentions that “the popular Thursday night Garden Parties music series returns next week (May 14) with the Jack Jill band as the featured entertainment.” Doors open at 4 p.m. and the music starts at 6 p.m. Admission is $10 with reserved VIP seating available for $20. The Sunday series kicks off June 14 with an American barbecue spread. Each event will feature live music alongside a rotating themed menu, including American Barbecue, New Orleans-inspired cuisine, and a classic summer seafood boil.
