Be a part of our 11th Annual Cass Community “Toy & Toothbrush Crusade”. Help make a family’s Christmas Merry by donating a new Toy or Personal Hygiene Item when you visit The Whitney. Over the years, we have proudly delivered truckloads of Joy to families in need of a little Holiday Cheer, and this year we hope to make the caravan much longer! This effort is named to honor the late, great Lonetta Miller, chef at the center that inspired The Whitney staff to get involved with her worthwhile endeavors.

Immerse yourself in the Whitney lifestyle, where curated teas are perfectly paired with freshly baked scones, strawberries in double cream, savory canapés, warm hors d’oeuvres, and exquisite pastries. As you sip and savor, let the melodies of live piano with Joel transport you to a time when afternoons were meant for leisure and luxury with friends and family.
Seatings are available from 12:00 noon - 1:00 PM Monday through Saturday in the month of December. Leave your cares behind and experience afternoon tea as it was meant to be.

Enjoy a one hour guided stroll through the elegant Whitney mansion while sipping Champagne. $19 Tours are offered at 11:00 a.m. on Saturdays and last approximately one hour. Advance ticket purchased required. Non-alcoholic sparkling beverages are also available.

Join us as we "pull back the curtain" and join Dye Paranormal Investigators as they guide you through the history and legends of The Whitney family and estate. Beginning at 5:00, this evening includes a Historical Champagne Tour of the Mansion, a 4-course dinner with selected spirits, followed by the Paranormal expedition through the Mansion, Gardens and Carriage House. Tickets are $199 pp and include Dinner, Selected Spirits, Tours, Tax and Gratuity - Valet Parking additional. Reservations limited, 21 and over only. Due to the nature of this event, menu preferences and dietary restrictions cannot be accommodated.

Step into the shadows and experience the paranormal side of Detroit nightlife with an unforgettable haunted tour of the legendary Whitney Mansion and Carriage House, as featured on the acclaimed “Ghost Hunters” TV show. Sip on our award-winning Witching Hour cocktail, savor delectable passed appetizers, and uncover the eerie history and ghostly encounters that linger within these storied walls.
This one-of-a-kind experience takes place Friday and Saturday nights at 9:30 PM, offering a thrilling mix of history, mystery, and spirits—both the ghostly and the crafted kind!
Reservations are required and must be pre-paid—secure your spot for just $39 per person and prepare for an unforgettable evening in one of Detroit’s most haunted landmarks.
