Detroit Turns 325 — Celebrate with The Whitney's Birthday Bash - Visit Detroit
Detroit has come a long way since Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac founded the city in 1701, and there's a lot to celebrate. That's exactly what The Whitney plans to do with its Third Annual Detroit Birthday Bash!
Join us Friday, July 24th, starting at 5 p.m. for a garden party featuring the Detroit Classics menu, specialty cocktails, and a DJ spinning Detroit and Motown favorites. Admission is just $10 and includes a house-made Coney Island hot dog and a slice of birthday cake. Tickets available on our website.
The limited-time Detroit Classics menu features standout dishes like a classic Maurice salad, Michigan Cherry Glazed Tenderloin with Gorgonzola Latkes, Better Made Potato Chip Crusted Walleye, and Detroit Almond Chicken — plus a slice of birthday cake, on us.
"Detroit has been through so much and has given so much to the rest of the world," said Whitney owner Bud Liebler. "325 years deserves celebration, and The Whitney is proud to be part of it."
The Detroit Classics menu will be offered alongside The Whitney's award-winning traditional menu, continuing the restaurant's tradition of celebrating Detroit's past, present, and future.
